The Cirque d’Hiver was buzzing with excitement ahead of the Casablanca Autumn/Winter 2024 show. Eager fashionistas crowded the entrance, anticipating the unveiling of 'Venus As A Boy' - the highly awaited collection by creative director Charaf Tajer.

Eventually, the show commenced with a mesmerising performance by seated dancers. Their synchronized arm movements were impeccably coordinated, captivating the audience and leaving them in awe. The music was equally exceptional, blending classical strings with Arabic melodies, and infusing a nineties rhythm with a distinctive drum pattern.

Charaf Tajer, the renowned founder of Casablanca and creative director, is celebrated for his unique style and fashion choices. His fashion direction takes us on a profound and contemplative journey through time.

As we sit observing the stage, we are instantly captivated by the electrifying atmosphere. The arena is brought to life with vibrant lights as the circus arena illuminates, and the spotlight directs our attention to the model gracefully striding down the blue runway, dressed in a stunning white dress that hugs her curves flawlessly. As the collection unfolds, a procession of stylish ensembles emerges, blending urban flair with timeless femininity. Among the highlights is a versatile white mini dress adorned with a hood. The collection boasts snug dresses and sharp suits, evoking the grace of ancient Greek aesthetics. Modern interpretations of draped jackets pay homage to classical styles, while a crimson sleeveless gown, cinched with a golden waist clasp and featuring a daring side slit, commands attention.

Layered garments resonate with a modern interpretation of Venus, channeling the essence of Greek aesthetics in a contemporary style. Seamlessly blending athleticism with elegance, some of the pieces in the collection are complemented with micro-shorts, mini-skirts, heels, and silver sandals. Sporty elements add appeal to the collection, including sleek silver quilted jackets for men, as well as puffer jackets paired with shorts, knee-high white socks, and white high-heeled shoes for women.

In tribute to the Olympic year, Casablanca embraces sports with vibrant tracksuits, baseball jackets embellished with bright logos, and tennis-inspired polo shirts. Women complete their look with sunglasses and silver handbags, effortlessly marrying athleticism with elegance.
