Gaurav Gupta is a fashion designer based in Delhi. He proudly presented his Spring Summer 2023 Couture Collection, “Shunya”, during the prestigious Paris Haute Couture Week.

“Shunya” is a Sanskrit word which translates to ‘Zero’, highlighting the potential of stillness and infinity.

Gupta displayed 35 looks, featuring his signature sculpted fabrics and original creations that twisted around his models.

With crystal embellishments, his looks varied in colours from transparent, gold and silver, blue and black. Futuristic silhouettes created a unique blend of fantasy in fashion, featuring dresses that appeared to defy gravity with form-pleated layers that perfectly contoured the body.

The style of Gupta's looks is ethereal and transcendent. His models confidently paraded the designers' sculpted silhouettes on the runway, wearing dresses that accentuated their curves made from hand-woven tissue that clung to their bodies like a second skin.

Futuristic details such as gold, silver, and metallic accents were added to the look and complemented by layered beadwork and embroideries.

His designs had an effervescent quality, featuring a sense of fluid form, wholesome techniques, and craftsmanship.
