MARIJA ŠABIĆ

UNDERSTANDING THE LANGUAGE OF FEMININITY

In Serbia, where tradition and emotion are deeply woven into everyday life, Marija Šabić has built a fashion universe guided by empathy, grace, and an intuitive understanding of the female form. Her designs do not simply dress women — they listen to them. Once again, at the 25th edition of Serbia Fashion Week, this quiet magic unfolded through our latest editorial shoot, capturing the essence of her most recent collection.

From the very beginning of her journey, Marija Šabić has been driven by a powerful belief: beauty is not exclusive. It exists in every woman, regardless of age, body type, or occasion. This philosophy forms the foundation of her award-winning creations, spanning elegant evening gowns, refined cocktail dresses, and deeply personal bridal designs — each conceived to celebrate individuality while enhancing confidence.

Šabić possesses an instinctive eye, one that understands how to highlight a woman’s most radiant features while gently softening what she may wish to conceal. Her silhouettes flow with intention; her cuts are thoughtful, and her fabrics move as if guided by emotion rather than trend. There is an unmistakable intimacy in her work, as though each garment is born from a personal dialogue between designer and wearer.

This season’s collection stood out as one of the most memorable moments of the week. Defined by a striking black-and-white palette, the dresses were elevated with opulent gold collars and refined gold edging, creating a bold yet timeless contrast. Original sculptural hats completed the looks, adding strength, character, and a sense of high-fashion drama. Together, these elements delivered a statement-making, one-of-a-kind aesthetic, ensuring every silhouette felt powerful, distinctive, and unforgettable.

On the runway, Marija Šabić’s collections speak in whispers rather than shouts. Delicate detailing, fluid lines, and a refined sense of restraint reveal a vision of femininity that feels timeless, elegant, and deeply human. Whether designed for a grand red-carpet moment or an intimate bridal ceremony, her approach to fashion remains an act of care — one with the power to uplift mood, spirit, and self-perception.

A key figure at Serbia Fashion Week, Marija Šabić has firmly established herself as a defining voice within the regional fashion landscape. Rather than chasing spectacle, she chooses sincerity, allowing the woman to remain at the heart of every creation.

Beyond the runway, Šabić is also widely recognised as one of the leading designers behind gowns for Miss Serbia and international beauty pageants. Her work for the global stage balances elegance with strength, sculptural drama with refined craftsmanship.

Balancing femininity with bold innovation, her bridal and eveningwear collections explore sculptural silhouettes, intricate draping, and delicate embellishments, often enhanced by luxurious French lace. Offering both collection pieces and bespoke creations, Marija works closely with her clients to ensure each dress reflects a personal story — crafted with intention, comfort, and quiet confidence.

In a world increasingly driven by excess, Marija Šabić reminds us that true luxury lies in understanding — understanding the body, emotion, and the quiet strength of femininity.

And in doing so, she creates dresses that do far more than adorn.
