In a contemporary world that is constantly accelerating, Ziggy Chen offers a moment of pause—suspended, contemplative, and poetic. The Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, Voleisure, embodies the fusion of volition and leisure, presenting a relaxed yet refined approach to everyday dressing.

Drawing from traditional Japanese and Chinese aesthetics, the collection references the intricate craftsmanship of wooden architecture and the fluidity of watercolour painting. This interplay of contrasts—between the solidity of aged wood and the ephemeral nature of ink dissolving in water—is seamlessly woven into the designs. The muted, earthy palette accentuates this quiet elegance, with shades of light green, khaki, olive, and deep brown-red, complemented by accents of black and grey-blue. It evokes a serene balance between the natural and the urban, akin to the meeting point of a rooftop’s architecture and the winter sky.

Textures and materials reinforce this theme, recalling the sinuous wood carvings of traditional Chinese structures blended with the organic abstraction of ink paintings. The collection’s Jacquard patterns, particularly in the cashmere sweaters, embody this aesthetic. Natural fibres such as wool, cashmere, cotton, linen, and hemp form the foundation of the garments, with innovative combinations such as a cashmere-linen blend for outerwear and a cotton-linen mixed denim-style twill adding depth and dimension.

The silhouette of FW 25-26 prioritises both wearability and elegance. Clean lines and fluid volumes are elevated by casual details and fabric pairings, striking a delicate balance between sophistication and ease. This is a collection designed for movement—allowing the wearer to navigate seamlessly between urban and natural environments, while exuding a quiet, timeless grace.

More than just a collection, Voleisure is an invitation to embrace a spontaneous and thoughtful way of living. Ziggy Chen’s commitment to craftsmanship and timeless design remains steadfast, offering pieces that distil tranquillity and refinement into everyday life.
