This year's Oxford Street Christmas lights will be different from the past, the snowball lights that have been with you for the past 6 years will be changed to a new lighting design - 27 spectacular LED light curtains draped over the length of the street which is made up of 220,000 sparkling lights. Its a night of music performances and shopping extravaganza.

At Regent Street this year, it will be a twin celebration as 2019 is the 200th anniversary since the creation of Regent Street itself. At Regent Street, one will not only be shopping for brands, there are many historic century-old structure to experience as well. The Christmas Switcg-On Show is scheduled from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. Shopping events are from 4-9pm.

Christmas lights Switch-On in Covent Garden annually starts with a strong Christmas atmosphere at the Christmas market where people enjoy their Christmas festival. This year, 40 magnificent mistletoe chandeliers - each ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 metres in size which are adorned with almost 700 glistening berries. Covent Garden will once again host London's biggest hand-picked Christmas tree.
Every place has its own lighting features to celebrate the arrival of the festival. Visit the spectacular Greenwich lantern procession at Greeenwich Market. You will see many cute & happy kids with handmade colourful lanterns and a series of performance. You can participate and make your own lanterns at the Lantern making workshop, sponsored by RBGC, in Greenwich Market on Saturday 16 November from 1.00pm - 4.00pm.
This year, in collaboration with ocean conservation charity Project Zero, all of the light installation and element with the powerful message: "One Ocean One Planet", the streets will be lit up with wonderful lights. Carnaby Street, located in SOHO is a famous shopping street with British style shops. Sparking trail of over one million twinkling lights bring Christmas and new year spirit into the world-famous Kew Gardens with its heritage of trees and buildings. Kew Gardens also prepared a carousel, variety of gifts and food for Christmas. Ticket booking is available from their website.

The switch-on and Christmas market open on the same day in Kingston. There are plenty of activities and lights decors at 6pm to participate together with families and friends. A treasure trove of unique and handmade giftware are waiting to be discovered in the traditional wooden cabins at Kingston.

Join the unmissable array of entertainment across the neighbourhood, perfect for all the family, also including carol performers and Santa with his real reindeer coming out to see everyone at Duke of York Square on the Pavilion Road starting at 2.00pm.
This year, The Shard will display a 30-minute with a 30-minute show with spectacular colours every half-an-hour from 4.00pm to 1.00am daily. The golden sunrise, through to the pinks and lavenders of the sunset, to the dark blue of twilight will be reflected on the top 20 storeys of The Shard. On New Year's Eve there will be a unique display from when the clock strikes midnight to the early hours of New Year's Day.

This year's annual Christmas Lights switch-on event in Manchester is located at Deansgate, near the Cathedral as the Town Hall transformation project continues for Albert Square, where its annually held. There will also be a series of stage performances in the night. Large numbers of people are expected join the celebrative event and be advised to go earlier.

The Pre-Light Switch on event at Newcastle is hosted by Metro Radio join by joined by Brit Award winning musician Sam Fender for the occasion starting at 5.30pm at Blackett Street, with the lights being switched on at approximately 6.30pm. Over 230,000 individual lights will be illuminated in the city centre as the expected thousands audience will enjoy family fun entertainment including Christmas sing-alongs, onstage competitions and lots of dancing.

Edinburgh's Christmas Lights is as usual a large celebration ceremony as in every year. It will feature performances before Santa's visit by Edinburgh's Little Voices Big Stars, Rock Choir Live, the Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh's Community Choir fresh from their preparations for An Edinburgh Christmas Carol, Intercultural Youth Scotland and Ama-sing Harmonies.

The city gets festive on a Saturday evening for the Christmas lights switch on!
The event takes place from 6.30pm to 7.30pm in front of Belfast City Hall.
Gates will open at 6.00pm with Q Radio's breakfast team Stephen and Cate hosting on stage from this time, with mini shows and Christmas carols before the big switch-on.
