Located in the northeast of France is Alsace which is one of the top ten regions of French wines production with plenty of sunshine, low rainfall and rich soil. The west side of the region is the Vosges and the Rhine is the east. The Rhine River is the boundary between France and Germany. In History, due to its geographical location, it is the region where century-old battles were fought between these two empires. Thus, today, you see the influences French-Romantic Style and German-Fairy-Tale Style town landscape in combination with their prestigious wine country.

The complex geology of Alsace contains a wide variety of soil types which include granite, limestone, sandstone, clay and volcanic soil. Most of the plain soil is impact soil. It's unusual and diverse soil produces a unique array of Alsace wines, each with its own distinct characteristics.

Alsace needs to extend the harvest time of the grapes so that the vines produce higher-glucose grapes to produce rich and Melloww white wines. 'Cremant d’Alsace' is a sparkling wine made in the Alsace region using traditional champagne process. The 'Sur Lie' process keeps in contact with the dead yeast cells and are not racked or otherwise filtered which enhances the tannins and stabilizes the fruity aroma of the sparkling wine.

Alsace is the most beautiful wine country in France, their picturesque villages, looming castles, fascinating wine trails, and quiet ancient wine cellars makes you feel like you are in the middle-ages era of Europe.

One of the world's greatest psychologist Sigmund Freud said:

imgThe great question that has never been answered,
and which not yet been able to answer,
despite my thirty years of research into the feminine soul is...

'What does a woman want?'img
