Julien Fournié Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2024/2025 Show - Last Queen sparkles with six looks inspired by Marie Antoinette, blending historical luxury and modern elegance.

Julien Fournié Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2024/2025 Show - 'Last Queen' celebrated the enduring style of Marie Antoinette, blending historical opulence with modern flair. His collection was inspired by the commission to design an outfit for the Marie Antoinette figure at the Grévin Wax Museum where he channelled the iconic and lasting influence of the queen on fashion into his collection. Known for her lavish and eye-catching outfits, Marie Antoinette remains a symbol of beauty, luxury, and grandeur.

Fournié aimed to recapture the splendour of Marie Antoinette and her Versailles days, underscoring her timeless status as a fashion icon. The French designer showcased six couture looks that told the story of a queen who loved extravagance and defied fashion norms. The vibrant and colourful show delighted the audience with its unique style and positive energy.

The first look featured a model in a dazzling violet silk trench coat adorned with crystals and a leather crown with medallion, paired with a leather bustier. The craftsmanship was remarkable, setting the tone for the rest of the collection.

A standout piece was a masculine-style three-piece suit in a Prince of Wales pattern, adorned with intricate beading on the jacket. Underneath, a silk pirate-frilled blouse added a feminine touch, perfectly completed by a feathered hat and large costume earrings. Models playfully strutted in voluminous pink and yellow skirts, bustiers, corsets, ribbons, bows, and costume jewellery, each outfit celebrating his extraordinary innovation and talent.

The grand finale revealed the Marie Antoinette wax figure in a glowing white embroidered gown with a corset bustier, bows, and royal symbols, capturing the essence of her legendary style. The show took the audience on a captivating journey into his enchanting world of haute couture, reaffirming his status as a visionary designer.
