A HAUTE COUTURE SYMPHONY AT THE THÉÂTRE DES CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES
Stéphane Rolland orchestrated an unforgettable couture opus within the gilded walls of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, transforming its stage into a living tableau of elegance and emotional grandeur. Set to the slow-burning crescendo of Ravel’s Boléro, interpreted live by conductor Zahia Ziouani and her orchestra, the show unfolded with the meticulous timing and intensity of a symphony. From the hushed opening—marked only by ticking metronomes and the whispered rhythm of sewing machines—to its climactic golden flourish, every passage was choreographed with balletic precision.
Rolland did not merely present a collection — he composed one. Each silhouette rose and swelled in harmony with the music, reflecting his signature codes: commanding architectural forms, echoes of Spanish drama, and the sensual restraint of Parisian sophistication. With every beat, the garments evolved—becoming bolder, more sculptural, more transcendent.
The palette was symphonic in itself — black, red, white, and gilded accents—a visual crescendo that punctuated the pacing. Gowns and opera coats swept the runway alongside finely tailored separates that danced with volume and tension. Fabrics became instruments in his orchestra: matte crepe for structure, platinum lamé for radiance, silk gazar for sculptural gravity, and chiffon for ethereal fluidity.
A moment of pure poetry emerged in a backless platinum lamé caftan, embroidered with jet-black crystals—at once celestial and imperial. Another highlight: a black silk gazar matador jacket, laden with gold and crystal embroidery, grounded by a sinuous, low-slung skirt—an image of rebellious grace.
Accessories were exalted to sacred objects: cosmic headpieces, sculptural earrings, and luminous accents crowned the models like futuristic high priestesses. Tulle trains cascaded behind them, and exaggerated plastrons anchored the looks with reverent drama. This was couture as celestial armor—powerful, otherworldly, and achingly precise.
In the front row, Cardi B and Angela Bassett mirrored the duality of the collection with Cardi in a striking black-and-white statement and ................. Each embodied the collection’s core tension: the balance between strength and softness, tradition and futurism.
With the collection of « ARGUMENT », Rolland rejected the industry’s rhythm and composed his own tempo. This was no mere fashion show — it was a declaration of artistic mastery. A tour de force that lingered long after the final note.
