Crowds gathered outside the Hôtel des Maisons during Paris Fashion Week for the much-anticipated debut of New York designer Kobi Halperin, who unveiled his 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection. Marking both his first Paris runway and the 10th anniversary of his eponymous label, Halperin aptly titled the collection “Nouveau Départ” — a “new beginning” symbolising creative renewal and offering a subtle nod to sustainability.
Rooted in free-spirited elegance, the show resonated with a distinct echo of the 1970s. Flowy ruffled dresses, romantic blouses and relaxed harem trousers drifted effortlessly down the runway, enriched with floral embroidery, beaded fringing and delicate textures. A nature-inspired palette—soft golds, sun-washed sand, faded blush, muted greens and earthy tones—provided a serene backdrop for the collection’s youthful yet refined energy.
Texture and movement were central to Halperin’s narrative. Gauzy embroidered gowns floated with poetic ease, while tailored waistcoats and shimmering trouser suits introduced a subtle architectural balance. Even indigo denim felt elevated, shaped by Halperin’s precise craftsmanship. Floral-printed harem trousers swayed with understated sensuality, while embroidered blossoms, sparkling beadwork and drifting fringing created a dialogue between bohemian romance and contemporary polish.
Accessories amplified this story of transformation. Serpentine belts and golden jewellery coils wrapped the body like emblems of renewal and self-awareness, while sculptural, crown-inspired headpieces reinforced the theme—transforming boho glamour into a bold, modern statement. Collaborations with Maison Ernest Paris for footwear and Deepa Gurnani for jewellery underscored Halperin’s commitment to craftsmanship, defining his idea of “smart luxury”: European sensibility, hand-worked textiles and artisanal embellishment at a contemporary, accessible price point.
The silhouettes projected confidence and poise. Flowing chiffon offered freedom of movement; structured tailoring delivered definition. Halperin’s woman is self-assured—embracing beauty as an act of expression, autonomy and intention.
Celebrating a decade of his house, Kobi Halperin’s Paris debut was more than a collection—it was a declaration of vision, maturity and craftsmanship. Nouveau Départ affirmed his signature: luxury that is precise, wearable and quietly authoritative, blending elegance with an assured, modern strength.
